At the Tokyo Game Show, Xbox announced that StarCraft: Remastered and the StarCraft II: Campaign Collection will be available on PC Game Pass starting November 5. This means anyone with a PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate subscription can enjoy the single-player campaigns of these iconic games.
While the multiplayer modes of both titles have been free-to-play for some time, this update brings access to the full range of single-player content. The StarCraft II: Campaign Collection includes over 70 missions, featuring campaigns from expansions like Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm.
StarCraft: Remastered revives the original 1998 real-time strategy (RTS) classic with modern enhancements like 4K visuals, upgraded audio, and newly-designed leaderboards. Released in 2017, the remastered edition coming to Game Pass introduces this legendary title to a new generation of players.
Despite their age, both games continue to boast active multiplayer communities and remain relevant in professional competitive gaming. Many credit StarCraft II, launched in 2010, with helping fuel the rise of live streaming in esports.
In other Blizzard-related news from the Tokyo Game Show, Overwatch 2 is introducing skins inspired by the anime My Hero Academia, available from October 17 to 30, although these skins are expected to come at a premium price.
