Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 2 will be arriving on iPhone, iPad, and Mac later this year. The mobile version of the critically acclaimed remake is set to release on December 31, 2024, continuing Capcom’s trend of bringing Resident Evil titles to iOS, following the mobile ports of Resident Evil 4, 7, and Village.
The game will be available for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, and any iPad or Mac equipped with the M1 chip or newer. As with previous Resident Evil iOS releases, players will be able to try the beginning of the game for free, but access to the full game will require an in-app purchase. Although Capcom hasn’t confirmed the exact price, Resident Evil 7 and Village cost $20, while Resident Evil 4 was priced at $60.
Additionally, as with the other Resident Evil iOS titles, players will need an online connection to launch the game. Originally released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019, Resident Evil 2 was praised for its faithful recreation and modern updates.
