In a statement released today, Sports Interactive announced the release of Football Manager 25 has been postponed once again, with the game now scheduled for a March 2025 launch. The developer, alongside publisher Sega, decided to delay the launch across all platforms to ensure the game meets their high standards and fans’ expectations.
Originally planned for release on November 26th for PC, PS5, and Xbox, and December 3rd for Nintendo Switch, FM25 had already faced delays earlier in the year. The game represents a major technical and visual step forward for the series, and Sports Interactive expressed that rushing to meet the current timeline would have compromised its quality.
In the update, the studio explained that despite the team’s best efforts, the development process has been slower than anticipated, with several key aspects taking longer than expected. This has placed considerable pressure on the team and led to the decision to delay.
While acknowledging the disappointment this may cause, Sports Interactive stressed their commitment to delivering a polished and immersive experience that reflects the Football Manager legacy. Customers who have pre-ordered the game will be able to request refunds if desired. More information regarding Advanced Access and a new gameplay reveal, now set for January 2025, will be provided closer to the new release date.
