Spiders, the developer of GreedFall 2, has acknowledged player feedback from the game’s early access release and is actively working to address two key areas: combat and character customization. In a recent update on Steam, the team expressed excitement over the early access launch but admitted that improvements are necessary. Among the planned updates are fixes for drop rates, AI behavior adjustments, and reducing the blur in dialogue scenes.
The team thanked players for their input and emphasized that they are listening closely to feedback, particularly regarding combat, where the newly introduced tactical pause system will be refined. Auto attacks and item-picking mechanics are also set to see improvements in upcoming patches.
Additionally, Spiders noted that character customization is still in development, and more adjustments are planned for future updates as the game progresses through early access.
In response to early impressions, some players and critics, including Eurogamer’s Bertie, have expressed concerns, describing GreedFall 2 as a “step backwards” from its 2019 predecessor, citing issues with gameplay enjoyment and the game’s overall distinctiveness. Nonetheless, the developers are committed to addressing concerns in future patches and updates.
