According to a new “immersion” trailer released yesterday, Bloober Team’s highly anticipated remake will become available on “other formats” starting October 8, 2025. However, it’s still unclear which platforms these will be.

While it was previously known that the game would be exclusive to PC and PS5, the exact duration of the exclusivity was unknown until now.

The trailer also showcases how the PS5’s features will enhance the experience, including 4K graphics, 3D audio, haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and a dynamic lightbar to reflect James’ health status in-game.

Can’t wait until October 8th to revisit Silent Hill? A Japanese content creator has streamed the first 90 minutes of the remake on YouTube.

The Silent Hill 2 remake will also offer the ability to remove UI elements and add a “90s filter.” Earlier this month, Eurogamer’s Tom Morgan shared his impressions of the remake’s opening hours, praising its upgraded visuals, controls, and revamped combat style.
