With just over a week until the September 9th release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 on PC and consoles, developer Saber Interactive has revealed its post-launch roadmap, offering a glimpse of exciting free content, including new missions, modes, and enemies.
Space Marine 2, which follows the ongoing saga of Ultramarines Space Marine Lieutenant Titus, was initially announced in 2021. Despite delays and a major leak, the game is finally approaching its release, generating significant anticipation.
If Saber Interactive delivers on its promises, players can look forward to a wealth of post-launch content. The first free update, “Season 1,” is scheduled for release this September, bringing features like the Battle Barge Sparring Arena, private PvE lobbies, and ultra-wide support.
Season 2, arriving before the end of the year, will introduce new PvE missions, a new enemy, the Neo-Volkite pistol, and a new Lethal difficulty level for those seeking a tougher challenge.
Season 3, slated for 2025, will offer a substantial update with a new PvE mission, PvP game mode, additional PvP arenas, PvE Prestige ranks, and the Battle Barge expansion. The roadmap concludes with Season 4, featuring a horde mode, another new enemy, and a new weapon.
For those who own the Space Marine 2 Season Pass, included in the Gold and Ultra editions, each season will also bring a variety of cosmetic packs, allowing players to customize their appearance while battling Tyranids and Chaos forces.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store starting September 9th.
