Set in the mysterious and long-referenced continent of Jadame, a land previously unexplored in the series, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era promises a non-linear campaign where players will traverse a vibrant and tumultuous world teeming with wonders and dangers. As they build magnificent castles, raise formidable armies, and engage in epic tactical battles, players will encounter a blend of old and new, with a refreshed visual style that pays homage to the vibrant, magical beginnings of the saga.

Ubisoft has revealed several of the factions that will play a central role in the game, including the classic Knights of the Temple, the undead legions of Necropolis, the nature-aligned forces of Sylvan, the dark elves and creatures of the Dungeon, and the insectoid Hive, corrupted by demonic influences. A sixth faction remains under wraps, adding to the anticipation surrounding the game’s release.

Olden Era introduces several new gameplay mechanics designed to enhance the strategic depth of the series. These include active abilities for both heroes and creatures, a new faction-based perk system, and revamped AI, ensuring that each battle is more dynamic and challenging. The game will offer multiple difficulty levels to cater to both newcomers and veterans of the series, alongside three main game modes: solo, co-op, and multiplayer.

Additionally, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era will feature a random map generator and in-game editor tools, empowering players to create and share their own custom content. This commitment to community engagement is further underscored by the game’s planned release on Steam Early Access in Q2 2025, allowing players to actively participate in its development.

With its return, Heroes of Might & Magic aims to rekindle the magic of its early days while offering new experiences and challenges, making Olden Era a highly anticipated entry in the legendary series.
